The “Control and Robotics” Research Group, code TEP 192 in the Andalusian Research, Development and Innovation Plan, PAIDI, was created on the first day of January 2001. The Research Group has become more specialised, other groups have emerged from it and its number has been reduced to 14 members, all of whom are PhDs. The quantitative and qualitative growth in scientific production includes more than 180 publications in impact journals, more than 260 presentations at conferences and more than 120 R+D+i projects and research grants. In fact, the Research Group currently manages more than 5 M€ in international, national and regional competitive projects. This has allowed us to have more than several graduates hired on a project basis and a large number of visiting professors, doctoral students and visiting students.
The main thematic lines of research of the group are: H2 Technologies, Photovoltaic and Wind Systems, Smart Grids, Sustainable Mobility and Road Safety, Power Electronic Systems, Control Engineering, Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems, Energy Efficiency and Rehabilitation in Building, Engineering Education, Remote Laboratories, Communications and Networks, Robotics and Machine Vision.
